Within the framework of the strategic partnership between Benha University and Wuhan University of Technology (WHUT), China, a delegation of Benha University students participated in the 2026 International Summer School, held from 20 July to 5 August 2026 in Wuhan, China.

The Summer School offered an intensive academic and cultural program designed to enhance students' knowledge in advanced engineering and maritime technologies while promoting intercultural understanding and international collaboration.

The academic program featured a series of specialized lectures delivered by distinguished faculty members from Wuhan University of Technology, covering cutting-edge topics including Advanced Materials in Shipbuilding, Digital Twin Technologies, Frontiers in Arctic Ship Research, Green Marine Propulsion Systems, Unmanned Water Area Monitoring Systems, and Ocean Culture and Maritime Development.

In addition to the lectures, participants engaged in a wide range of practical training activities, including visits to the Navigation Museum, Digital Shipyard, Ceramic Dream Factory, laboratories of the School of Naval Architecture, Ocean and Energy Power Engineering, and interactive demonstrations on green marine fuels and propulsion systems.

The program also included numerous technical and educational visits to important scientific and cultural landmarks, such as Nanhu Campus, East Lake, Hankow Customs Museum, Hubei Provincial Museum, Wuhan Museum of Science and Technology, Tanhualin Historic District, and Jiangxiali, providing students with valuable insights into Chinese history, innovation, and culture.

To further enrich the international experience, the Summer School incorporated a comprehensive Chinese cultural program featuring workshops on Chinese Calligraphy, Traditional Chinese Painting, Chinese Tea Ceremony, and Chinese Music, enabling participants to gain a deeper appreciation of China's rich cultural heritage.
